Bulgogi Beef
  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef sirloin or ribeye
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
Fried Rice
  • 4 cups cooked cold jasmine rice
  • 1.5 cups kimchi chopped
  • 0.5 cup kimchi juice
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 cup peas and carrots frozen
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp gochujang optional
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions sliced

Equipment

  • Large wok or skillet

Method
 

  1. Combine marinade ingredients and marinate beef for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a wok and cook beef until caramelized; remove.
  3. Cook onion, peas, carrots, and kimchi until softened.
  4. Add cold rice and stir-fry until heated and lightly crisp.
  5. Mix in kimchi juice, soy sauce, sesame oil, and gochujang.
  6. Return beef to the pan and toss until combined.
  7. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and fried eggs if desired.
