Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Combine apples, sugars, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla in a large bowl.
- Fold in pecans and half of the caramel sauce.
- Spread mixture into prepared baking dish.
- Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
- Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla. Stir until combined.
- Spoon batter over apple filling.
- Drizzle remaining caramel sauce over the top.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
- Cool slightly and serve warm.
