  • 4 slices bread thick cut
  • 2 cups mushrooms sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 2 tbsp cream optional
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook mushrooms until golden and moisture evaporates.
  3. Add garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs; cook until fragrant.
  4. Optional: add cream for a richer texture.
  5. Lightly toast bread slices.
  6. Top bread with mushroom mixture and shredded cheese.
  7. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 5–8 minutes until cheese melts.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
