Ingredients
  

Beef Souvlaki
  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin or tenderloin cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1.5 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar optional
  • pita bread, tzatziki, lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, and vinegar to make marinade.
  2. Add beef cubes and marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high and oil the grates.
  4. Thread beef onto skewers and grill for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  5. Let rest, then serve with pita, tzatziki, and lemon wedges.
